Dear Children -
This Google Map shows the route that I plan to follow from Galveston, Texas, ( the green A bubble at the bottom of the map) to Rouses Point, NY, (the green B bubble at the top).
When I start out in March I will post maps that will show the routes more clearly. This map just gives you a general idea of where I will walk. It measures approximately 2000 miles. I plan to walk an average of 12 miles a day. I'll let you figure out how many days it will take me.
Love, Nana Greta

Greta my name is Lucas Bermudez I am a student of your daghter Sofia's class in third grade. I'm a science freak and I love to try to stop global warming.
Alasdair - Yes, it's my intention to walk that far. As long as my health and my legs hold up. It will take me a long time, but I think I will enjoy it most of the time.
Lucas - It's great that you want to stop global warming, and knowing your science is an good thing because climate change and global warming are very complicated. What ideas do you have about stopping global warming?
Dear Nana Greta,
I noticed that you are walking from the south boarder to the north boarder. Have fun!!-Kevin
Thanks, Kevin - I think it will be mostly fun, but sometimes it might rain, or I might get very tired. I hope you'll follow me along and give me encouragement.
Dear nana greta,

from,
Tiffany from Ms. Harts class
Dear Nana Greta,
Are you going to walk all around the entire world because if you do I will like to know how to keep track of you where are so that way I don't have to always ask Ms.Hart where you are.I can't wait to see you on monday for the guest reader. From Kiara.
Hi Tiffany - So far nobody is planning to walk with me, except my husband during the first week. I'm hoping that other people will walk with me, at least for part of the time. Thanks for asking.
Hello Kiara - You can open my blog from any computer that connects to the internet. I will tell my readers where I am, maybe not every day, but often. It will make me happy to know that people are following my walk. I will sometimes tell stories about what I see and things that people say along the way.
